We all have own methods of cleaning and drying our brushes. For years I was drying my set lay down on the edge of table. But still I noticed that drying wasn’t too effective – long drying time – and I was worry that still water is weakening glue in brushes. But my brush set get bigger recently so I drying on edges of my furniture took enormous space and become awkward…
I keep searching recently for improvement and changes in my kit and I noticed recently acrylic drying stands/stations. There are different sizes and shapes, different number and size of holes for brushes.
So I made quick decision and I bought set of 3 stands – so I could dry bigger set of brushes if needed. Each stand cost me less than £6. (For budget version You can check ebay and Amazon for this one – prices starts from £3)
My can hold 28 brushes , all in different sizes – but in some oval holes I easy can fit 2 small eyeshadow brushes.
Strand made is of nice back acrylic and layer of silicone fitted in hold each brush in right position – type of handle is not matter – holds well both wooden and metal brushes
The best is that this stands folds down so you can store it flat when not in use – so saves a lot of space…
This is how my drying stand looks like – with brushes in and without brushes.
Hope you will find it useful.
